Personal
Charlotte C. Lee grew up in lower Manhattan, where her great-grandfather founded an international trading firm in the 1880s, operated by her family until 1981. The firm's 1935 Chinatown storefront is now part of the "Ethnic New York" exhibit at the New York State Museum in Albany.
